Extra! Extra! Throwin’ Down Something New

By now you should know that Fisticuff Design is always looking to “Throw down” to defend your honor in the WWW. Recently, we decided to do a little “self-defense” by means of some updates to the Fisticuff Design Co. website. Said updates are documented, as follows:

New Projects

That’s Rentertainment Inflatables added to the portfolio
Casa del Lago web site added to the portfolio
Barfly Bar Catering updated in the portfolio (we completed the site redesign)

New Functionality

Javacript updated to degrade a bit more gracefully
Addition of slider for the portfolio thumbnails
Added an AJAX project loader

More to come and we’re still working out some of the kinks. Let me know if you come across any bugs.

A quick update of the list of sites promoting Fisticuff (some may have been mentioned in the past):

Not to mention, we just heard that Fisticuff Design will be featured in the next publication by the Web Design Index. They’ve been putting out an annual web design index since 2000. It is definitely an honor to make into the ranks!

So I spent a bit of time this afternoon updating and styling my VIRB.com profile. I’d like to do something a bit more exciting, but for now I thought I’d keep it consistent with the bryan-miller.com layout.

Casa del Lago

Recently, Rene and I have been working on a couple of new projects.

Stirling Sotheby’s hired us to design and build a new website for the Casa del Lago luxury residential community in Windemere, FL. The goal of this project is to compliment the ongoing marketing campaign Stirling has been developing for the community. They wanted Fisticuff Design to create a website with a soft and elegant look without a lot of bells and whistles. The site needed to be straight forward and to cleanly display a lot of community information.

That’s Rentertainment Inflatables, LLC.

Also in the works is That’s Rentertainment Inflatables, LLC. They are a small company based out of Leonardtown, MD providing inflatable houses and slides for a varitey of social events. We were hired to develop a complete branding and online presence from the ground up. So far we have created the logo, business cards, and marketing website.

That’s Rentertainment has a varying clientele, so they wanted a fun website, but such that it is not distracting from the necessary information.

Both websites are in the final testing stages. So, feel free to check them out. Let us know what you think, feedback is always appreciated.

Rene and I have been working hard to get the Fisticuff Design website up and running. We are happy with progress so far and I would have to say it is almost unveiling time. Keep your eyes peeled and get ready to throw down.

Newest Member of the Family

Today I added a new face to the web section of the portfolio. Sheer Splendor is a workroom here in Orlando specializing in custom window coverings, bedding, furniture and the like for the interior design trade. Rene and I are still waiting for some content for the site, but I’d say it’s about 98% complete and certainly functional. One of my favorite parts of the site are the randomly generated “Sheer Solutions” (tips for home decorating). So far there are only two, but we hope to incorporate many more to keep things interesting.

So, go check it out. We’d love some feedback.
