Finally…

Monday, August 6th, 2007

After very many years (an unreasonably many if you ask me) I am finally finished with school. I received an e-mail from my professor informing me that he gave me an “A” for my final course. It has been a long time coming. With my quite recent free time I finally added some pictures from our trip to Sweden on Flickr. Fifteen, to be exact, with more to come very soon. Most of this round of uploads are from our first day in Helsingborg, which is where my wife grew up. There are also a few from a family gathering, in Arboga, for her cousin’s confirmation.

Back in Town

Monday, July 9th, 2007

My wife and I just returned yesterday from a wonderful trip to Sweden. It was her first time going home in twevle years. Needless to say, it was important for her. She has missed it immensely. Here is a brief overview:

  • Day 1: Land in Copenhagen, Denmark. Train to Helsingor,Denmark, followed by boat to Helsingborg, Sweden (where Aisha grew up). We spent the night in Helsingborg with some family friends.
  • We spent the day wandering about Helsingborg. In the evening, Aisha’s cousin picked us up and took us to her aunt and uncle’s home in Malmö. We were in Malmö for two and one half days.
  • Next we spent 3 days in Stockholm and one in Arboga (about 2 hours from Stockholm). Here we stayed with Aisha’s uncle who took us all over the place.
  • Finally, we spent the final part of our trip with her Grandmother in Karlshamn. She has a nice little house and she made us a rediculous amount of food, cookies, and coffee. It was pretty great.

I will be uploading a good portion of our nearly 2000 pictures to my flickr account very soon. Make sure to check them out!
